Batu Caves

Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) [2016]

Background: I already had been 5 times to KL before I finally vsited the Batu Caves in the northern part of the city for the first time. I only saw pictures of the giant golden statue and huge crowds walking up the steep stairs which to be honest in the first place made me hesitating a bit. I must confess I was wrong: the place is a must-see! Admission is free and after you climbed the countless steps you reach two caves. To the left you find the dark cave which you can enter on a guided tour. To the right you will find the main cave with an embededded temple and a circular (natural) hole in the cave ceiling.
