Seekofel

Croda del Becco (Seekofel) and Rifugio Biella (Seekofelhütte), Cortina (Italy) [2017]

Background: We first planned a "light" 17km hiking round in Natural park Fanes-Senes-Braies but at first sight of the Seekofel I couldn't risist to hike up the summit. From Rifugio Biella (Seekofel Hütte) it is still a tough 500m hike up to the summit. The way goes up the east ridge straight above the cabin and after the first 100m which are quite intense the rest is quite easy. The view from the summit is spectacular. You can see all the way to "Tre Cime" (Drei Zinnen), Catinaccio (Rosengarten) and Monte Pelmo. My personal highlight is the view down the long steep to Lago di Braies (Pragser Wildsee).
