Jungle Waterfall

Tat Mok Waterfall near Chiang Mai (Thailand) [2012]

Background: The first time I ever rented (and actually drove) a scooter (light motorcycle with automatic shift) was in Chiang Mai in 2012. Actually a pretty crazy idea but someday you have to start. On the second day of my stay in Chiang Mai I drove all the way up to Tat Mok Waterfall (about 50km north of the city). The waterfall itself was a pretty down to earth experience. While I expected to find a remote area with beautiful pools to bath in I discovered the place to be a pretty muddy river (September is end of the rain season and it rains 1-2 times a day). Nevertheless I enjoyed the trip since it was also my first experience with a jungle-like environment. I never expected the rain forest to be that loud.
