Through the Lesser Gorges

Ferry on "The Lesser Three Gorges", Wushan (China) [2017]

Background: We booked our Yangtze River Cruise with China Highlights. During the four day river cruise (on Yangtze Gold 2) from Chongqing to Yichang we stopped at Wushan to enter Daning River and the so called "Lesser Three Gorges" (Longmen Gorge, Bawu Gorge and Dicui Gorge). You change to a smaller sized ferry to go upstream. Even the Lesser Gorges have the typial tidal gauge that indicates the highest fill level of about 175m N.N.. On the cruise you get to see some spectacular rock formations and at least one "hanging tomb".
