Background: I must confess I totally underestimated how busy the Yangtze River is on the passage between Chongqing and Yichang. So many ferries and ships make their way on the river. Even more impressive are the countless number of large cities appearing and disappearing during the cruise. We booked our trip thtrough China Highlights and I remember one situation where we were cruising through the myst and the illuminated skyline of a city appeared and disappeared and I do not know until today which city it was; I only know it was big.
